From 1 July 2018, all caveats and land transfers without mortgages in NSW have been lodged electronically.
E-settlement of all mainstream property transactions is now in effect in Victoria and will be mandatory in NSW from 1 July 2019.
Lawyers and conveyancers who act on land dealings or those in other practice areas who are required to lodge caveats on their clients' behalf should ensure a smooth transition process to minimise professional risk.
